Christmas Eve Children's Pageant 2022

The pageant will take place at 3:50 PM, just prior to the start of 4:00 Mass on December 24. We ask that participants arrive and in costume by 3:30 PM.

ACTING ROLES & SPEAKING ROLES
In an effort to include as many youth as possible, we offer Main Cast Acting Roles, Extra Cast Roles, and Speaking/Narrator Roles. Descriptions and Costuming Details are provided below.

MAIN CAST ROLES (Mary, Joseph, Jesus, Angel, 3 Wise Men) We are happy to provide costumes for this group. These participants will have limited acting roles but WILL NOT have speaking roles. Details will be emailed later.

NARRATORS--This group of participants will only speak and tell the story as the remaining members of the cast act out the story. They will take turns speaking at the ambo, like a lector. The length of speaking part will be determined by the number of Narrator volunteers.

EXTRA CAST ROLES of SHEEP/SHEPHERDS/ANGELS--Anyone can choose to be a sheep (or other animal), shepherd or angel. While we have costumes, we also encourage participants to create and wear their own costume. At the designated time (details to be sent later) these individual groups will leave their family pew to join the Nativity on the Altar.

The roles of Main Cast members and Narrators will be drawn randomly based on how you rank the roles for each child below. Drawing will take place on Friday, December 16, 2022. All names submitted for each of these roles (Mary, Joseph, Lead Angel, Three Kings) will be collected and a name will be drawn randomly to fairly choose the child for each role. If your child submitted his/her name for one of these roles and he/she is not chosen, we will move on to their 2nd or 3rd choice.

Details regarding a practice will be sent to families of main cast and narrators once they have been selected.
